WDS Investigations, Inc. was founded by William Sowders who has served as Presidential Security in the U.S. Marine Corps HMX-1 unit for President Bush Sr., providing White House and Helicopter security for President Bush Sr. and White House Cabinet members from 1991 to 1992.

Further experience from 1992-2002 as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the U.S. Marine Corps, training with FBI, DEA and SRT with an honorable discharge from active duty in 2000. While serving in the USMC Reserves, William Sowders pursued the private sector of investigations and surveillance.

During the time with other investigative firms is where Mr. Sowders observed the Pro’s and Cons on a daily basis. The idea of using what works and discarding what does not work, to include the continuous requests from clients to have Mr. Sowders perform their investigations and/or surveillance, laid the foundation for WDS Investigations, Inc. William Sowders has assisted in over 5000 cases, helping other investigators throughout Michigan and the U.S. to include assisting state, county and local police in locating wanted felons.
